Every time I spend an excessive amount of time in the kitchen, I think of the phrase “Time is Money.” I occasionally regret wasting so much time cooking in the kitchen. In today’s society, we’re supposed work as productively and efficiently as possible. Why shouldn’t this apply to the kitchen as well? Well, it does in my kitchen. I’ve been discovering new ways of speeding up my cooking process while not making any type of compromise on taste or quality. I’ve discovered the new Turbo Roaster Vertical Poultry Roaster device. At first, I felt a bit skeptical about the Turbo Roaster. How could a simple jar and metal tube cook my chicken and turkey in 1/4 of the time of conventional cooking methods? The way the Turbo Roaster works is like this: the TB is a jar that holds hot water with a long tube attached to it. You insert this tube into the bottom end of your chicken or turkey. Then, place the poultry in a pan and put everything in the oven. Set the oven to 450 degrees for 45 ish minutes and viola! You have a beautiful, moist chicken or turkey meal. The claims that this roasting device cut cooking times down to a mere 45 minutes made me pay attention to it. So, I brought one for myself to gave it a try.
What I Like About It
There were some things that really worked well with the Turbo Roaster and made me really like it. Then again, some things let me down. I personally liked the fact that it really cut down the cooking time almost in half. This is incredible. Baking an entire chicken usually takes me about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. In my experience with the Turbo Roaster, I consistently cooked entire chickens in about 50 minutes to one hour! I also loved the fact that it required so little work from me. I just followed the simple instructions on the booklet and placed the device next to my chicken. I used it a couple more times since then, and I have to say I am still very pleased with the results. You can rest assure that I will use it again this Thanksgiving. I am planning to have a big meal with all of my friends and family. The commercial claims that the TB can handle turkeys up to 20-pounds. I still haven’t used it on anything besides chicken, but I’m pretty confident this should work. If it does a good job on Thanksgiving, I will surely use it again this Christmas. I didn’t feel too thrilled about cleaning the chicken grease that got into and all over the jar. However, that negative mark is pretty minor as the TB is completely dishwater safe.
Things to Consider about the Turbo Roaster
Before you buy the Turbo Roaster, here are a few things you should consider:
- The Turbo Roaster will not make an incredible difference in the taste of chicken or turkey. Keep in mind that it’s just a tool to help your chicken cook faster. Sure, if you use the herb infuser with some of your favorite herbs, the meat will taste better, but if you don’t, you’ll have the same chicken or turkey, you always have.
- Another thing you need to be careful about is the hot water you’re supposed to put in the Turbo Roaster. Be extra careful when you’re putting it into the jar and also be very careful when you’re taking out the Turbo Roaster out of the over. There will still be some water left in there and it’s going to be very hot.
- Turbo Roaster is a tool and as any tool, you’ll need to take care of it. Wash it after every use and store it in a place where it’s not going to gather any dust.
Where to Buy
I bought my Turbo Roaster from the official website. The Turbo Roaster costs just $19.99 plus shipping and handling. For this price, you get two Turbo Roasters (one is thrown in for free), a recipe guide that will help you make the best poultry possible, and a flavor infuser to help flavor the vapors from the roaster. I found this add on very tasty. And, don’t forget, you can use the Clip N Store Spice Racks to store your best poultry spices for the infuser.
To be honest, when I first read about the Turbo Roaster I didn’t think I would like it. But, after trying it, I have to say that I absolutely love it. It’s very simple and does exactly what it says it will: cut down on cooking time of poultry. The results are pretty impressive. I cannot wait to give it another go this Thanksgiving!
